Woman at centre of 'love triangle' tells court relationship with murder accused was 'seedy affair'

A woman whose former lover is accused of murdering her boyfriend has described her relationship with the accused as a "seedy affair" and said the only reason she started it was because she hadn't had sex for many years.

Mary Lowry has begun giving evidence in the trial of Patrick Quirke (50) of Breanshamore, Co Tipperary who has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 52-year-old Bobby Ryan on a date between June 3, 2011 and April 2013.
