Nurses and midwives begin vote on strike action

A ballot over strike action is underway of nurses and midwives in a dispute about understaffing and safety in the health service.

The INMO says low pay is making it impossible to recruit and retain staff, which is risking patient safety, limiting hospital capacity, and contributing to overcrowding.
