Paschal Donohoe to consider proposal for 'granny grant' in budget

The Finance Minister says he will consider proposals for a childcare payment for grandparents in the budget.

Update 3.47pm: An organisation supporting stay-at-home parents has criticised proposals that would see grandparents paid for looking after their grandchildren.

The Independent Alliance raised the issue with the Finance Minister in a pre-budget meeting yesterday.
