The Finance Minister says he will consider proposals for a childcare payment for grandparents in the budget.

Proposed pay increases to gardaí will not cost the taxpayer extra and will be paid for from within existing budgets, according to the Tánaiste and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform.

The Minister for Transport has said notices to quit sent by a vulture fund are "inappropriate and unfair".
