Only 17% of volunteers in registered charities under the age of 24 - Report shows

A new report published today shows that registered Irish charities have a significant social and economic impact.

Update 2.15pm: When it comes to registered charities, a new report shows that 300,000 people volunteer every year but only 17% of them are under the age of 24.

Young people are being urged to volunteer more in the charity sector.
