Lawyers appealing on convicted rapist's behalf claim juror 'smiled and winked' at complainant during trial

Lawyers for a drama teacher jailed for raping a student when she was around seven years old have told the Court of Appeal that a juror “smiled and winked” at the complainant during his trial.
