Man arrested in connection with 2016 Eddie Hutch murder

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Eddie Hutch, brother of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch two years ago.

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Edward (Eddie) Hutch, brother of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch two years ago.

The arrested man was conveyed to Mountjoy Garda Station where he was subsequently detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 as amended.

He can be held for a total period of up to 72 hours.

Eddie Hutch was killed on February 8, 2016, at his home on Poplar Row in Dublin.

The 59-year-old taxi driver was killed just days after the Regency Hotel shooting.
