Leo Varadkar: Nama could be 're-purposed' to help solve housing crisis

The Government is "looking at the possibility of re-purposing Nama to develop lands on behalf of the state to step in where the private sector has failed."

The Government is considering redesigning the National Asset Management Agency (Nama) into a development agency for the state.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said the move was a possible option to help solve the housing crisis.
