Latest: Labour accuses Minister of stalling on public sector pay talks
Labour Party spokesperson on Public Expenditure and Reform, Seán Sherlock, has called for the Government to immediately begin talks with public sector trade unions.
- The Public Service Pay Commission has delivered a report to Cabinet analysing wages and pensions for both private and public sectors.
- The findings of the report are expected to form the basis of talks to replace the Lansdowne Road deal.
- The report found that the value of the public sector pension is between 12% and 18% for pre-2013 public servants.
- Minister for Public Expenditure, Paschal Donohoe, has welcomed the report.
- Minister Paschal Donohoe has said it is his intention to issue an invitation to unions for talks on pay.
