Brexit has placed Irish unity back on the political agenda almost a century on from partition, Sinn Féin's Michelle O'Neill has told her party's Easter Rising commemoration.

Delivering the annual oration at Glasnevin cemetery in Dublin on the 101st anniversary of the rebellion, the republican party's Stormont leader said the UK's departure from the European Union despite a majority in Northern Ireland voting Remain had "changed everything".
