Three men arrested following seizure of firearms and ammunition in Co Cork

Three men have been arrested as part of on-going investigations into dissident republican activity in the Cork area.

Two guns and ammunition were also discovered following a planned search of a house at Chestnut Drive, Cluain Ard, Cobh last night

The men - aged in their 30's and 40's - are being held at Cobh and Middleton Garda stations.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
