The University of Limerick has issued an STI warning.

Their health centre says there is an outbreak of Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia on campus.

An email has been sent to all students today explaining the potential dangers.

It says the diseases can spread through unprotected sex and may not have any symptoms.

The University is working with the HSE to ensure that the issue is dealt with effectively and efficiently.

According to media reports over 10 cases have been reported which consitutes a outbreak under HSE guidelines.
