Drugs worth €41,500 seized in Kilkenny

Gardaí have seized drugs in Kilkenny city with an estimated value of €41,500.

Two men aged 25 and 33 were arrested after a surveillance operation, during which cocaine worth €17,500 was seized.

In a follow-up search of two houses, more cocaine with a street value of €24,000 was found.

Both men are being held at Kilkenny garda station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Several other people were also arrested this morning as part of the Garda's anti-drugs Operation Clave. They are being held at stations in Kilkenny Carlow and Thomastown.
