Man abducted and subjected to 'paramilitary-style shooting' in Derry

A man has been abducted and shot in the North in what is believed to be a paramilitary-style shooting.

The PSNI said that a 22-year-old man was taken from the Derry area yesterday evening and taken to Dungiven, where he was shot in the leg.

He was later found and taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are urging anyone with information to get in contact with them.
