Gardaí investigate shooting in Dublin city

Gardaí from Ballyfermot are at the scene of a shooting incident at Cherry Orchard Court.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm this evening.

A man aged in his 30s was injured and has been taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The scene is being preserved for a technical examination. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Cherry Orchard Court area at the time of the incident or may have information, to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station 01-6667200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
