Three due before court in relation to foiled cash-in-transit robbery

Three men are due to appear in court this evening in connection with an attempted cash-in-transit van robbery in Co Meath.

They were arrested in Dunboyne on Friday after an ongoing garda operation.

At least one of them was wearing full body armour and they had a firearm with them.

It is understood the men are significant players in the criminal world.

All three are due to appear before a special sitting of Trim District Court at 7.30pm today.
