Man dies, woman injured, after car hits ditch in Limerick

A man has died in a car crash in Limerick.

The man in his 20's died in the incident on the R511, Fedamore to Limerick Road at Carnane shortly after 2am this morning.

He was a passenger in a car that went off the road and hit a ditch.

The driver, a woman in her 20's, suffered minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

The road remains remains closed to allow a forensic examination of the scene take place.
