Bus Éireann unions expected to make pay claim for staff

Commuters could be faced with more industrial action as Bus Éireann is due before the Workplace Relations Commission today.

It is expected that the State-owned company will announce restructuring plans, which it is feared will spark strike action.

Unions are expected to lodge claims for pay rises for 2,600 staff at the meeting.

It comes amid growing unrest in public transport, with another 15 days of Dublin Bus strikes due to take place.
