Man accused of attempted murder of PSNI officers

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of PSNI officers in Co Antrim.

A car rammed three police vehicles on the Killyglen Road in Larne just before 5pm yesterday.

Police were conducting a search of a property in the area at the time.

One officer, who was sitting in one of the vehicles, sustained a number of non-life-threatening injuries.

The 28-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene while another masked man fled the area.
