Two held in connection with Dublin firearm seizure released without charge

Two people arrested in connection with the seizure of a firearm in north Co Dublin have released without charge.

Gardaí recovered a 3.65 calibre handgun, when they stopped a car on the M1 at Lusk on Thursday night.

A man in his 50s and a woman in her 30s were arrested.

They were released from Drogheda Garda Station late last night, and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
