Five due in court in connection with false imprisonment of a number of people

Five people are due to appear at a special court sitting this afternoon after being arrested in connection with the false imprisonment of a number of people in Co. Meath.

Six people, including a teenage girl, were arrested in a planned raid on a house near Navan on Thursday night.

The operation was sparked after Gardaí got a report that a number of people were being held in a Nobber house against their will.

The five, all adults, will appear at Trim District Court later today.
