Farmer urges Govt to do more to support farm accident victims

The Government is being urged to do more to support victims of farm accidents.

There are an estimated 2,500 farm accidents each year with 19 of those fatal in 2015.

The call comes from Offaly farmer Rodney Cox who has undergone major surgery since an accident in July 2015.

He has only recently regained the ability to walk after suffering a kick to the knee from a cow.
