Almost 300 patients waiting for hospital beds

Almost 300 people are waiting on a bed in hospitals around the country this afternoon.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation trolleywatch figures show 281 people waiting on a bed.

Thirty-eight people are without a bed in University Hospital Limerick, while there are 27 waiting in both South Tipperary General Hospital and University Hospital Waterford.
