Bishop Edward Daly died a hero, says relative of teenager killed in Bloody Sunday
Bishop of Derry Edward Daly has died a hero after he raised a blood-soaked handkerchief and guided a dying teenager through British army gunfire on Bloody Sunday, a grateful relative said.
The Catholic cleric, who died on Monday aged 82 after a long illness, was a life-long critic of all violence.
