Update - 9.15am: Gardaí have said it was fortunate no one was killed in a “rough and ready” gun attack at a scrapyard in Dublin, according to Cormac O'Keeffe of the Irish Examiner.

Sources described the shooting in south-west Dublin as “clumsy” and “reckless” and said the gunman fled over walls, before escaping in a car.
