Jury in trial of woman accused of drowning colleague 'can return majority verdict'

The jurors in the trial of a woman accused of murdering her colleague in Wicklow have been told they can return a majority verdict.

Marta Herda of Pairc na Saile, Emoclew Road in Arklow denies deliberating driving them into the Avoca river in March 2014.

She managed to swim to safety but the body of Csaba Orsas washed up on a beach two miles away.

Afterwards, the 29-year-old told gardaí that he was in love with her and used to follow her home and that she “couldn’t take it anymore”.

The jury has already been told it can also consider the lesser charge of manslaughter.
