People wishing to express solidarity with the people of France will have the opportunity to do so in a number of ways across the country.

People wishing to express solidarity with the people of France will have the opportunity to do so in a number of ways across the country.

An online book of condolences has been opened by the French Embassy in Ireland and there is also a book at The Mansion House in Dublin and Cork city hall.

Vigils will also be held to pay homage to the victims of the attack in Nice in Dublin, Galway and Limerick.

In Dublin a silent vigil will be held in front of the Embassy of France on Saturday, July 16, at 7pm.

In Galway, a solidarity march is taking place at 12pm on Saturday, July 16 and in Limerick a vigil is organised for Saturday, July 16, at 11am in front of the Alliance Francaise on Pery Square.
