Gardaí issue futher appeal for information on Lusk shooting

Gardaí are re-appealing for information after a shooting in Dublin on Tuesday.

A 36-year-old man was shot a number of times at Dun Emer Place in Lusk at around 9.35am.

He remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

Gardaí say they are following several hundred lines of inquiry and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

They're particularly looking for anyone with information on the movements of a white Volkswagen Golf, bearing a Northern Ireland registration number XFZ 9316, in the days and hours up to Tuesday morning.

Speaking today at Balbriggan Garda Station, Superintendent Noel Carolan said "I would like to thank members of the public who have provided information and assistance in the investigation to date.

"Several hundred separate lines of inquiry are being followed by investigating Gardaí with assistance from detectives attached to the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and other national units.

"I am again appealing to anyone with information to contact the incident room."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Balbriggan Garda Station 01-8020510 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
