Stanton: Cattle were culled in Co Monaghan due to ‘sufficient concern for public safety’
The Dáil's been told that the killing of five cattle by Defence Forces personnel in Co Monaghan was done humanely.
It has also heard that the killing was done for reasons of public safety, in what were described as "difficult circumstances".
