A man has been arrested in Dublin in connection with an alleged fraud on an Italian man.

A man has been arrested in Dublin in connection with an alleged fraud on an Italian man.

Gardaí say more than €300,000 was involved in the transaction. The Italian man is based in Italy.

The 32-year-old man was detained as he attempted to withdraw the money from a bank yesterday.

He was taken to Store St garda station, before being released without charge late last night.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
