President Higgins speech at Humanitarian Summit to focus on gender-based violence

President Michael D Higgins will tackle the issue of gender-based violence today when he makes his second speech at the first ever Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul.

The two-day meeting of global leaders is brainstorming ideas to help solve current humanitarian problems.
