Minister hoping to pass emergency legislation on suspended sentences next week

It has been confirmed that emergency laws will be drafted to address the High Court ruling on suspended sentences.

Acting Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald has stated that she will ask for Cabinet approval for the measures next week "with a view to it being enacted as soon as possible".
