Man dies in overnight house fire

A man aged in his mid-40s has died in a house fire in Co Kildare last night.

The blaze broke out at around 3.30am in Carbury.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, although at this stage, the blaze is not being treated as suspicious.
