Coalition talks to continue today following marathon talks yesterday

Coalition talks are set to resume this morning, despite a number of Deputies ruling themselves out of discussions.

Marathon talks ended at 9pm last night, with no progress reported.

Negotiations to form a new Government appear to have stalled, as the Green Party looks set to withdraw from talks with Fine Gael.

The Irish Examiner has reported that the two Green Party TDs are to refer the issue to their members later today.

Greens and Independents met with Fine Gael yesterday as Enda Kenny's party offered a possible deal on housing - but marathon talks broke up without any progress reported at 9pm last night.

Negotiations will resume at 8.30am this morning.

The Labour party will also meet today for the first time since the General Election, when the party lost 30 TDs.
