Gardaí appeal for information after woman found drowned in Co Dublin

Gardaí are seeking the public's help in trying to identify a woman, whose body was discovered on the rocks at Scotsmans Bay in Sandycove, Co. Dublin yesterday morning.

Results from a post mortem examination show that the woman had drowned.

She is described as 50 to 60 years of age - between 5ft 4in to 5ft 6in in height with red hair.

She was wearing a purple coat, light blue fleece, a red shirt, dark purple jeans, navy socks and brown size 40 boots.

Gardaí say they don't believe the body was in the water for a long period.
