Couple in hospital after burglary at their home in Cavan

A man and woman are in hospital following an aggravated burglary in Kingscourt, Co Cavan last night.

Three to four masked raiders entered the house and assaulted the couple after 6.30pm.

The raiders left the scene at Cornaman, stealing the couples Land Rover Freelander with registration number 07 CN 3857.

The alarm was raised with gardaí at 8pm last night.
