Today is the last opportunity members of the public have to get on the electoral register for the General Election.

People can get application forms from their local authority offices.

Anyone who is unsure about whether they are entitled to vote, can go to CheckTheRegister.ie

To be registered, you must be an Irish citizen or resident British citizen, aged 18 years or over on polling day.
