Immigrant Council of Ireland launches Rock the Vote

The Immigrant Council of Ireland has launched a new campaign aimed at encouraging more people to get involved in politics.

Rock the Vote will see a series of events take place over the course of the next few weeks in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

Originally from Nigeria, 26-year-old Chino Okeke became an Irish citizen last December and has just registered to vote.

"I am originally from Nigeria, I came here in 2005 and I recently became an Irish citizen in December.

"So I just recently joined the vote last week. I don't know the party I am voting for at the moment because I have to read through their policies and everything and find out which suits me best."
