Soccer star Anthony Stokes sees trial for alleged assault on Elvis impersonator put back

Football star Anthony Stokes’ trial over an alleged assault on an Elvis impersonator has been put back 10 months after a court heard he has started a new job.

The Celtic and Ireland striker, who has just gone on loan to Hibernian FC for the season, was at Dublin’s Circuit Criminal Court when his case was adjourned.
