Disability campaigners are calling on Ministers to deal with the sector
Disability Campaigners are calling for a full cabinet Minister to deal with the sector.
With the election now just weeks away - all political parties are being asked to publish their plans for services for people with disabilities.
The Disability Federation of Ireland has said it wants to see clear policies from all election manifestos.
Spokesperson John Dolan has said they have waited long enough: “There’s 600,000 people and more than the same number of others who are impacted by disability whether its mental health or whatever it is in Ireland,
“And we had twenty years plus commitments from all the parties that people with disabilities should be able to live the same kind of ordinary life as others, that has not come about.”
