Blood Transfusion Service issues special appeal for donors

There is a special appeal for blood donors.

The IBTS has said the sustained bad weather has affected blood supply, with donor attendance at clinics significantly down.

There is only a three day supply of the main blood groups.

The Blood Transfusion Service has said it aims to hold seven days supply across blood groups.
