Minister wants to stop parents' voluntary contributions to schools

The Minister for Education Jan O'Sullivan plans to end voluntary contributions in schools.

The Daily Mail says Ms O'Sullivan wants to phase out the fees by increasing grants for running schools.

Parents can be asked for up to €250 a year, that is on top of the price of books and uniforms.
