Man dies in caravan fire in Kilkenny

A man in his 60s has died in a fire in Co. Kilkenny.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident at a caravan in the Ferrybank area, at around 1am this morning.

The fire service and ambulances attended the scene.

The 64-year-old's body was removed to Waterford University Hospital where a postmortem is due to take place.
