Man in custody following alleged attack on a Judge

A man remains in custody in connection with an alleged assault on a Judge at a Dublin Court House.

Judge Miriam Walsh is alleged to have been hit a number of times during a sitting of the family law courts in Temple Bar at lunchtime yesterday.

She was struck a number of times in the face and stomach.

She suffered non life threatening injuries and has since been discharged from hospital.

A man was arrested in relation to the incident at the scene and is detained at Pearse Street Garda Station in the city
