Gardaí launch investigation into body found in Dublin apartment last week

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in suspicious circumstances at an apartment in Dublin.

54-year-old John Stewart was found dead near Clanbrassil Street in Dublin 8 last Thursday evening.

The scene was preserved and technically examined and a post mortem was carried out at Dublin City Morgue last Friday, which was found to be inconclusive.

Gardaí in they are anxious to trace John Stewart's movement between Tuesday December 1 and Wednesday December 2.

It is believed he could have spent some time in the city centre and may have been wearing a grey padded coat, light coloured jeans and a grey woolly hat.
