Brother and sister in their 60s tied up by masked men in aggravated burglary

Gardaí in Co Kildare are investigating an aggravated burglary in Rathangan.

It happened at around 8.30pm last night at a house in Thomastown East.

Up to four masked men entered the house of a sister and brother aged in their 60s. The men, who are believed to have been armed with golf clubs, demanded cash.

The men left the house with a sum of money and escaped in a car.

No description of the getaway car or the men is available.

No arrests have been made.
