Medical evacuation team scrambled to airlift crew member from ship off Irish coast

A medical evacuation team has been scrambled to remove a crew member from a ship 100 miles west of Fastnet Rock off the south west Cork coast.

The Waterford-based rescue helicopter 117 performed the evacuation, with communications assistance provided by the Shannon-based helicopter 115.
