Welsh police arrest man in connection with cocaine seizure in the North

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in Wales in connection with alleged drug trafficking offences in the North.

The man was detained yesterday evening in a joint arrest operation with Welsh Police and is being brought to Belfast for interview.

The arrest is part of an investigation into the seizure of 1kg of high purity cocaine in Bangor, County Down in February 2011.

The drugs are believed to have been sent to Northern Ireland from Ecuador.
