Man arrested at Gorey property auction

A man was arrested after a property auction was called off in Co. Wexford today.

Gardaí were called to a hotel in Gorey, where an auction was taking place, after a group arrived and caused disruption at the event.

It is understood some of the properties being auctioned were secured on NAMA loans and in control of a receiver.

A man in his early thirties was arrested, it is expected that he will be summonsed for a court appearance at a later date.
