A man has died in a road accident in Co Meath today.

A man has died in a road accident in Co Meath today.

A man, was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the N2 road and collided with a tree at Kellystown, Slane, Co Meath in the early hours of this morning.

The driver, believed to be aged in his 30s, was the only occupant of the car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The scene of the collision is closed pending the completion of a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Diversions are in place.
